Now in 2022, this project is still freezing because a lot has changed. I graduated from university and started my first job in book publishing, my passionate about bicycle is reduced. Second job I move back main career path in UX/UI Designer, but I feel current work now don’t use my skill not fully used (but I still from 2015-present lol) Today, I decided to re-born this project up to date and collect in my portfolio v2022. Follow me, I’ll tell you about the story behind Bike Lane 2022.

Bike Lane is a Mobile Application for cyclists that helps bike communities better together. In the app, users can create content by daily ride activity in every day.

After user track new route in to the app all activity will generate connection route new or all cyclists can Search route, navigate direction. After you use this route you can vote, review, recommend. Share your ride activity, this or this route direction to the public in social media.

Don’t miss any bike event at Events Feature. Collect bike event for a whole year, show all information you need to know, and you can share your event you interest pin to calendar or share to social media, And end with Challenge Feature to explore/motivate/improve yourself with other cyclists together. Now Bike Lane 2022 has design in iOS system only. — 30/06/2022

First thing, I decide to build Design System of Bike Lane 2022 include main identity used in the app like color, button, input type, field, card-UI and more about typography, font-size, line-height, animation etc.

In Bike Lane 2015 version, I choose color main color-theme is Black-Yellow, reference from Asphalt (color of road) and road signs plate. In 2022 version I still choose original color-theme, because I think core-meaning and Identity clearly until now. But, I add on White color and 3 matt-color (red / green / blue) to describe in any case clearly than old version. Below here is sample UI Design of Bike Lane 2022 I was design.

If you have seen a UI Design screen, you can notice about screen difference between old version / new version. Because when time passed, I had learned about UX design from my work experience. I apply all knowledge to explain and design UI Design 2022 version to support most case I thought and here is the result.

I spend most time around 2-3 month to re-design Bike Lane 2022 version a little bit in every single day, because I already sill work in full-time job at here. I can apply all Figma knowledge I had learned from previous project and more I self learned on YouTube, everything made the final result here. For me, it’s the Best version of Bike Lane app I proud to present. / Thank you for attention.
